Recover your account

If you can still log in, the fastest way to change your password is in the app under Settings → Security. If you’ve been locked out, read on.
Still have access? Open Circus, go to Settings → Security → Change password. You’ll be asked for your current password and a new one. No email link needed.
Two ways to recover
Forgot password — in-app reset link
Use this if you remember your registered email but not your password.
- On the Circus sign-in screen, tap Forgot password?
- Enter your registered email address
- Check your inbox for a reset link (valid for 30 minutes)
- Set a new password — you’ll be signed in on that device
Locked out — email support
Use this if the reset link doesn’t arrive or your account was taken over.
- Email support@circus.app from your registered email
- Subject: “Account recovery”
- Include your account email or phone number and a brief description of what’s happened
- We may ask for additional identity verification before restoring access
How long it takes
- 30 minutes — reset links expire; request a new one if yours has expired.
- Within 48 hours — locked-out account requests are reviewed within two business days. We respond from support@circus.app.
- Up to 7 days — compromised or hijacked accounts may take longer; we verify ownership carefully before restoring access.
If your account was hijacked
If you suspect someone else has accessed your account, do these in order:
- If you can still sign in: change your password immediately and sign out of all devices (Settings → Security → Sign out everywhere)
- Check your registered email for any account-change notifications you didn’t make
- Email support@circus.app — flag the timeline and any posts/messages sent without you
- If money was moved through Creator payouts, also email privacy@circus.app — we’ll trace and reverse where possible
We’ll review activity logs, restore the account to its previous state where we can, and help with any reputational fallout.
What we’ll never ask for
- Your password. Circus support will never ask for your password — by email, in chat, or in a support ticket. If anyone claiming to be Circus asks, it’s a phishing attempt.
- Payment to recover your account. Recovery is free. Anyone asking for money is not us.
- Remote access to your device. We don’t run live remote-access support. If you’re asked to install screen-sharing software, it’s a scam.
Forward suspicious messages claiming to be from Circus to security@circus.app.
