Report a Problem

Report a problem.

In-app reporting is fastest — this page is for detailed or out-of-app reports.

The best way to report content on Circus is through the in-app tools — every post, comment, and profile has a Report option. For reports that need more context, or if you can’t access the app, use this page.

Urgent safety issue? If someone is at immediate risk of harm, contact emergency services first (000 AU · 999 UK · 911 US). For urgent safety content on Circus, email safety@circus.app directly — don’t wait for a form response.

Report a user, post, or comment

To report specific content or a specific account, include the following information in your report:

  1. Your registered email address (so we can follow up with you)
  2. The post URL or a screenshot of the content you’re reporting
  3. What type of violation you believe this is (see categories below)
  4. Any additional context that helps us understand the situation

Types of violations

  • Harassment or threats
  • Hate speech or discrimination
  • Spam or fake account
  • Self-harm or suicide content
  • Inappropriate sexual content
  • Intellectual property violation
  • Impersonation
  • Other guideline violation

Send your report to safety@circus.app with the information above. We aim to respond to standard reports within 72 hours. Include your email address if you want a direct response.

Report a community

If a creator’s community (channel or page) is systematically violating our guidelines — rather than an individual post — send a community report to safety@circus.app with “Community Report” in the subject line. Include:

  • The community name and URL
  • The type of violation
  • At least two specific examples (post URLs or screenshots)

What happens next

  1. Our Trust & Safety team receives and reviews your report
  2. We investigate using the information you’ve provided and our own internal signals
  3. We take appropriate action — this may include content removal, a warning, temporary suspension, or a permanent ban depending on severity
  4. For privacy reasons, we don’t share details of enforcement actions taken against other accounts
  5. If you’ve been directly harmed and need a follow-up, include your contact email in the report

Appeals

If you believe your own content or account has been incorrectly actioned, you have the right to appeal within 30 days. See our Community Guidelines — Appeals section for more information.
